General guidelines - Post 2

Dear Students,

The LIST of students selecting different domains (Embedded and Real Time Systems, Communication Systems, Digital Signal or Digital Image Processing, Very Large Scale Integrated Circuit Design, Power Electronic Systems) is available on this blog. If there are any mistakes , please sms me the corrections.

Today, I will be going to JNTUH as project external examiner and will meet you tomorrow.

Please see that when you all meet today you begin work on the following activities :

1. Know all members in your domain (see list on the blog).
2. Decide on THREE coordinators to help in smooth administration of the activities.
3. Give your attendance to Mr. Indra Babu.
4. Try to identify the text books and references related to your domain and begin preparation.
5. Start your learning of the related software tools for each domain a follows
                     Embedded Systems : C Programming
Communication Systems : MATLAB using Communication tool box.
DSP : MATLAB using Signal Processing Tool Box
DIP : MATLAB using Image Processing Tool Box.
                     VLSI : VHDL or Verilog
Power Electronic Systems : C Programming.
6. Start simple experiments using the hardware you will be requiring for the project work as follows :
Embedded Systems : Sensors, Drivers, 8051 microcontroller.
Communication Systems : ADC/DAC, Filters, Sampling gates, MUX/DEMUX,
                                                           Encoders/Decoders etc.
DSP : Same as for CS.
DIP  : Image capture devices - study.
VLSI : XILINX FPGA kit - study
Power Electronic Systems : Circuits using UJTs, DIACs, TRIACS, SCRs,
                                                              Power MOSFETS.
Blog site corresponding to your domain will be uploaded regularly with questions which should help you prepare towards a common goal for the group.

Please note that this is ONLY a general information to HELP begin your preparation.

Good Day !
